On Saturday afternoon, a dispute between two motorists in Vienna-Landstrasse escalated after one of them parked in front of a driveway and blocked the road. This was followed by punches and a cut from a telescopic baton.
Before the dispute fully escalated, police said both got out of the vehicles to clear it up. After the verbal altercation escalated, the 34-year-old motorist pulled a telescope stick and hit the head of the other driver (48). He sustained a cut to his head. In return, the 48-year-old allegedly punched the 34-year-old multiple times.
Son hid suspected murder weapon
Because the telescopic baton with which the crime was committed could not be found, a search was carried out in the apartment of the 34-year-old suspect. There, officers were able to meet the man’s 14-year-old son, who eventually stated that he was present at the incident and then brought the telescopic baton into the apartment.
Temporary gun ban
The injured 48-year-old was treated by emergency medical services after the altercation. Both parties involved have been reported on suspicion of serious bodily injury or physical injury. In addition, a provisional firearms ban was imposed against the 34-year-old.
