A closing barrier of a parking lot hit a cyclist (81) in the head in Linz. The elderly lady was briefly unconscious and was immediately taken to the UKH.
A 28-year-old Romanian citizen from the Urfahr region turned his truck in Mengerstraße to a prohibited parking lot there at about 8.25 p.m. on Wednesday. Immediately after the truck drove through, the barrier began to close again.
Temporarily unconscious
For unknown reasons, an 81-year-old cyclist from Linz was hit on the head by the closing barrier and seriously injured. A pedestrian witnessed the incident. The 81-year-old, who was briefly unconscious, was taken to the accident hospital in Linz after first aid from the emergency doctor.
