Spain, France and Portugal have agreed to abandon the MidCat trans-Pyrenees energy interconnection project and replace it with a “green energy corridor” connecting Barcelona and Marseille, as announced by the President of the Spanish government, Pedro Sánchez.

Macron, Costa and Sánchez will discuss this project again on the sidelines of the EuroMed summit on December 8 and 9 in Alicante, where they hope to specify things such as the “deadlines for investments, the distribution of costs and the volume of necessary economic resources.
