In Feldkirch (Vorarlberg), a 25-year-old is said to have been brutally attacked and injured in the head by the father (32) of their child early Wednesday evening. The suspected perpetrator first fled, but was then arrested overnight.
There were terrible scenes that took place around 6:15 pm near Feldkirch train station: the 25-year-old was attacked in the street by the suspect, he is the father of their child, the brutal first pushed her to the ground and then hit her head against the concrete edge of a fence several times – then he got up and left.
Treated in the hospital
The woman suffered head injuries of unknown extent and had to be taken by rescuers to Feldkirch State Hospital, where she was treated on an outpatient basis. A direct search for the attacker initially yielded nothing, but shortly before midnight the suspect was arrested at his home address. He was charged with intentionally inflicting grievous bodily harm.
Police say the attack was a physical altercation between the woman with a 30-year-old acquaintance of the man on a bus.
