The last-minute attempt to reach a tram from Innsbruck ended fatally for a 15-year-old: she was rammed by the car and thrown into the street.
The 15-year-old pedestrian had planned to board a tram that had just arrived at Reichenauer Strasse around 5 p.m. Friday. After she was still a short distance from the stop, she quickly crossed the carriageway and the track at the same level to reach the stop before the tram arrived.

She was hit head-on by the tram and thrown to the ground. The teenager came to a stop in front of the tram several times. She suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to the Innsbruck clinic.
