Did the looting of ATMs go wrong?
A car had just crashed into the store. After the accident, the unknown occupants jumped out of the car and fled. However, the car caught fire and this quickly spread to the entire supermarket. The incident may have been a failed attempt to loot the cash machine in the supermarket foyer.
The Vienna Police are asking anyone who can provide information about the incident to contact the Vienna State Criminal Investigation Department at 0131310-33800.

The Viennese professional fire brigade took over the extinguishing work. The car was completely destroyed and the building sustained extensive damage.
