In Ukraine, the hotel of ORF correspondent Christian Wehrschütz and his team was hit by Russian grenades around 1 a.m. on Saturday night. The reported Ö3. Wehrschütz is currently located in Nikopol (Dnipropetrovsk region) near Zaporizhzhya. So no one was injured. The roof of the hotel was destroyed and the rooms were also damaged.

The head of the military administration of the Dnepropetrovsk region, Valentyn Resnichenko, confirmed the shelling of the Nikopol district. “The Russians opened fire on three municipalities: Nikopol, Marhanets and Chervonohryhorivka. People were not injured,” Resnichenko wrote on Telegram, the Ukrinform news agency reported.

Block of flats and single-family homes damaged
According to him, dozens of apartment buildings and family homes have been damaged in the city of Nikopol. Power lines were cut. In Chervonohryhorivka Municipality, family homes and power grids were also heavily damaged. About 1,000 households were without power. Engineers from the electric utilities have already started repair work.

There was an air raid siren in the rest of the Dnipropetrovsk region, but no shelling was recorded last night. The situation is now calm.
