The incident occurred at around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, when a freight train traveling near Jundiz developed a problem with its overhead wires. Subsequently, a medium-distance train between Gasteiz and Miranda was stopped on the track and 64 passengers had to be evacuated by bus.
Likewise, a train from Donostia to Madrid, two from Madrid to the capital Gipuzkoa and another medium-distance between Miranda and Bilbao have also been stopped. Other affected trains are: one from Miranda to Salamanca and another from Miranda to Zaragoza, as well as another between Barcelona and Lugo.
