Shaking Trauma – Little Elias Dies: “Mother Was Overwhelmed”

It has been a week since Elias, who was only seven weeks old, was shaken to death in a shelter for underprivileged people in Salzburg-Riedenburg. In the meantime, the court no longer sees an urgent suspicion of murder in the father of the child. Therefore, only the 19-year-old mother is currently incarcerated.

Sayings from an ex-partner actually give the 25-year-old, who first became a father at age 17, a good reference. She says of him: “He was always a great father and works very hard to take care of his child.” In total, the young man has already become a father three times with three different women.

Attorney Kurt Jelinek is convinced of his client’s innocence: “It was he who called the rescue!”

In the interrogation, the impeccable man stated that the mother was overwhelmed by the child. Elias’ father is currently no longer suspected of murder, but of another crime. For him, the court currently accepts the offense of “torturing or neglecting a minor, young person or defenseless person”. For this crime, the law orders up to ten years in prison.

The 25-year-old does not have to go to jail for the time being. Instead of being held in custody, the trained waiter should seek psychotherapy and make appointments with the probation service.
