For the past two years, the Covid 19 hammer has struck in the fall: the infections exploded, politicians responded with strict lockdowns. And this year? The number of cases is currently declining and a mask requirement is not (yet) in sight. The Graz infectiologist Klaus Vander in the “Krone” conversation about the Corona situation and possible new Covid rules.

„krone“: Dr Vander, how do you estimate the current corona situation in the country?
Infectiologist Klaus Vander: The 7-day incidence has been declining again since mid-October – which is of course an encouraging development. However, what we have learned from the past is that hospital admissions are only moved with a delay of 10 to 14 days.
