After several rapes were recently reported in Vienna, a suspect has now been identified and arrested. The 32-year-old stateless man is said to have attacked an 18-year-old woman in Vienna-Liesing last Thursday.
According to the police, the woman was allegedly grabbed, beaten, threatened and then raped by an initially unknown perpetrator in Fridtjof-Nansen-Park. The detectives of the Vienna State Criminal Investigation Department have now succeeded in finding a suspect through intensive investigation.
32 year old is quiet
Cobra officers approached a residential building in the Ottakring district on All Saints’ Day morning and arrested the man. The suspect is silent about the charges.
Whether there is a connection with Saturday’s alleged rape in Martin Luther King Park is still under investigation.
