The Minister of Economy and Finance, Pedro Azpiazú, has reiterated its willingness to increase support for the accounts for the next financial year. In this sense, he has stated that he hopes to conclude a first meeting with the groups that have shown their willingness to negotiate the next November 9. “We have time to work together calmly and without fuss,” he insisted.

Counsel has recalled that the coalition government PNV-PSE-EE has a majority in parliament to carry out its bills, but has reiterated its call for agreement so that budgets come out with more consensus.
“They know our aptitude for the agreement and have been able to experience with us the budget negotiation processes, which they know start from honesty,” Azpiazu told representatives of the various parliamentary groups. Likewise, he has indicated that the Lehendakari himself has expressed an interest in reaching a new consensus that strengthens the government policies that form the backbone of the presented budget.
Azpiazu added that this quarter is “key” in many economic and financial aspects, which are “vital to ensure economic stability and security in the Basque Country”.
