Seven cargo ships carrying agricultural products left Ukraine’s Black Sea ports on Thursday. According to the Ministry of Infrastructure, they loaded a total of 290,000 tons of food. They are on their way to Europe and Asia.
Russia had made a reversal on Wednesday: it is now again participating in the grain agreement with Ukraine.
Russia and Ukraine reached the agreement in the summer, brokered by the United Nations and Turkey. However, after drone strikes on its Black Sea fleet on Saturday, Russia had suspended participation and said it could no longer provide security guarantees for civilian shipping.
