A convicted double murderer and sex offender with necrophilic tendencies in England has confessed to committing more in a series of attacks on corpses. Overall, the man sentenced to life in prison is said to have attacked the lifeless bodies of more than 100 women and girls. The 68-year-old had gained access to several morgues in the counties of Sussex and Kent through his then job as an electrician.
He had previously admitted to killing two women, ages 20 and 25, and assaulting their lifeless bodies in 1987. In addition, the man said he abused 78 bodies of women and girls in various morgues between 2008 and 2020.
As the British news agency PA reported on Thursday, the man now confessed to the 23 other female bodies at Croydon Crown Court in London.
DNA analysis convicted offenders
A DNA analysis led to the man’s arrest in 2020. Abuses in the morgue came to light when detectives searched his home after his arrest and found hard drives on which the man had recorded videos of his actions. He also had to answer for that. Not all victims could be identified.
