Date:

He had mini earphones with a transparent antenna in his ear and the small camera was hidden in his sweater: a 21-year-old man in Graz tried to falsify his driver’s license, but he was caught – it’s the 86th such case.

For years there have been repeated attempts to cheat with technical aids on theoretical driving licenses. This time, a 21-year-old Syrian tried his luck in Graz – but he was caught. The test supervisor discovered the antenna in the ear. The police then searched the man: a mini camera, including transmitter and battery, was hidden in his sweater.

21 year old confesses
The 21-year-old has made a full confession. AOn a social media platform he became aware of the “help” with the driver’s license inspection. The ‘sayer’ advertised tests that had already been successfully carried out in several European countries. The 21-year-old paid several thousand euros for the fraud – he will be reported. After clues, a 23-year-old from Vienna was identified as the main perpetrator.

Already the 86th case
“This manipulation of a driver’s license test is the 86th case of its kind. New groups of perpetrators are constantly being added. Criminal investigations are underway,” said investigating police officer Johann Klammler of the Graz-Karlauerstraße police station.
