Crane and OTA personnel Gipuzkoa on strike during this weekend, convened by the trade unions ELA, LAB and CCOO, after “blocking the negotiating table for a year” of the sectoral agreement. Union sources assure Asesga’s employers will not meet again with unions until December.
Among their demands are aSalary increase according to CPI and 35-hour workdays, according to statements to Euskadi Irratia by the ELA spokesperson, Andoni Iriondo. He criticizes that they have been meeting for a year to update the agreement and that “it is clear” that the bosses are blocking.
Last October 7 was the first day of the strike, and if the negotiations do not progress, the unions have announced new strike days from 9 to 16 November.
