Notification from the local chief – Refugee tents must be empty within 3 days

Date:

The 17 refugee tents from St. Georgen im Attergau (Upper Austria) have to go and 100 asylum seekers out! That’s what the mayor demands and argues with security – an expert report confirms it. Now there is an eviction notice.

A building order will be issued by the municipality on Monday. “I make sure people’s safety is guaranteed,” said Mayor Ferdinand Aigner (VP).

Last week he received a report from a construction expert who pointed out the dangers. “I have to secure myself as mayor,” Aigner says. According to the report to the Federal Support Office (BBU), the tents must be vacated within three days and taken down within seven days. “It cannot be otherwise.” The Federal Agency for Care and Support Services made it clear in advance that legal action would be taken against such a decision.

On October 15, the tent quarters were set up in Thalham’s first reception center in St. Georgen im Attergau. The community immediately announced resistance and did so: On the National Day, people took to the streets, including a protest march to the Westautobahn, which was not closed. Because the tents were built too close to the ground boundary of the western shelter, they had to be moved and should now disappear completely.
