Unbelievable scenes took place in eastern Innsbruck on Monday evening: a 17-year-old boy shot a passer-by (50) from the window of an apartment with a gas pressure pistol. The woman was hit, but escaped unharmed.
The scene of the incident was the Olympic Village in Innsbruck. At about 6:30 p.m., the 17-year-old, whose nationality is still unclear, according to police, shot a gas pistol from an apartment window. “He fired at least three shots at a 50-year-old Bosnian woman standing on the sidewalk across the street,” investigators said.
The woman was hit once in the hand area. “Fortunately, she was not injured,” said the director.
Weapons ban imposed
The young “Pistolero” was then found by the alarmed police. A temporary firearms ban was issued against the youths. The gas pistol has been confiscated. Appropriate notifications will be made after completing the surveys.
