Attack on a post office in Vienna Thursday morning: An alleged customer who had initially politely stood at the counter turned out to be a robber. However, the employee fled – and then the unknown.
At around 10 a.m., the man entered the branch in the Margareten district and lined up at the counter. When it was his turn, he suddenly drew an item. According to the police, this would have looked like a weapon. The perpetrator threatened the employee, who then fled and ran into another room.
The stranger then did the same, but he ran out of the branch – apparently without taking anything – and fled. There were no injuries in the raid. The search for the robber is ongoing, the investigation is ongoing.
