The president of Confebask, Isabel Busto, has advocated continued investment and commitment to vocational training and to young people “who choose to train through it, “more if possible” in a situation of “talent shortage”.

At the usual annual Basque Empresa&FP event held this Monday at the Euskalduna Palace in Bilbao, Busto highlighted “the efforts and commitment of companies, training centers, teachers and students to a strategic model for our competitiveness as companies and as a country”.

According to him, the recent adoption of the Sixth Basque Vocational Training Plan is “a clear example of this collaboration with the same goal: to consolidate a model that is already a reference both in the state and in the European Union itself thanks to collective involvement”.

The president of the Basque employers’ association recalled that “the majority of vacancies from Basque companies concern vocational training, both intermediate and advanced”.

“Companies, we must continue to invest in training. We must continue to focus on our vocational training and on the young people who choose to train through it. Especially given the increasing shortage of talent,” he emphasized.
