A normal Carinthian family. Married for 17 years, four children, including three daughters, the youngest is now seven years old. The father is an electrician, the mother a housewife, they spend their free time in an allotment garden. But the facade crumbles when problems arise with the kids. “I went to the youth care office myself because I couldn’t,” the mother confesses. The family is taken care of by social workers, two of the children are housed in socio-educational institutions.
Nobody notices that the children are ‘problem cases’ because they have become victims of serious crimes. For about a year, an “expert” takes care of one of the girls without noticing anything – the little sister was abused at home by the pedophile father.
As reported, the 41-year-old was sentenced to a maximum of 15 years by judge Gernot Kugi. It will be decided on Tuesday whether he will contest the penalty. After all, he himself admitted to having had sex with the eleven-year-old daughter: “I must have confused her with the woman.” His victims will likely remain traumatized throughout their lives – just like the alleged child molester himself: he too had been abused as a teenager.
