A truck driver (55) was dangerous on the road, and officials of the Tyrolean highway police removed him from traffic on Monday evening on the Inntal highway near Stans (Schwaz district): he had more than 2.5 promille alcohol in his blood. The man has temporarily lost his driver’s license, along with a large sum of money.
The truck was notable for its driving style – “it drove in a wavy line,” Wiesing highway police said. The officers stopped the truck around 8 p.m. and checked on the driver. An alcohol test then showed that the 55-year-old had about 2.6 promille alcohol in his blood. In addition, the officials found that he had committed violations of the Motor Vehicles Act (KFG) and the Air Pollution Control Act (IG-L).
A fine of several thousand euros
The Spaniard had to hand in his driver’s license on the spot and was not allowed to drive further. According to KFG and IG-L, he also had to pay a deposit for the violations: the truck driver lost more than 3,000 euros as a result.
