Cause unclear – at a car on the opposite lane: the driver was seriously injured

Serious accident in Leisach in East Tyrol! A Briton (19) ended up on the oncoming lane on the B100. Three cars were ultimately involved in the accident. The 19-year-old was seriously injured. The other two drivers were luckier.

The accident happened Thursday. The 19-year-old drove his car on the B100 towards Lienz. “For reasons that have not yet been clarified, he entered the oncoming lane in a long left turn,” police said. As a result, there was first a side collision with an oncoming van driven by an Australian (30).

The 74-year-old escaped with minor injuries
The car of a resident (74) then collided head-on with the van. Everyone involved in the accident was able to free themselves from their vehicles. The 74-year-old had to be taken to Lienz district hospital with minor injuries and the Briton with serious injuries. The volunteer fire brigade of Leisach and the Red Cross Lienz/Sillian came into action.
