The 48-year-old filed Friday in a bankruptcy court in the state of Texas. Jones recently caused a stir with an interview with rapper Kanye West, in which he expressed his sympathy for Adolf Hitler and the Nazis.
In the personal bankruptcy filing, Jones states he has assets of between $1 million and $10 million. He estimates debts between $1 and $10 billion and creditors between 50 and 99. Infowars filed for bankruptcy in April. His media company Free Speech Systems filed for bankruptcy in July.
Multiple trials for false accusations
The radio host and founder of the right-wing website Infowars has been the subject of several lawsuits totaling nearly $1.5 billion (more than $1.4 billion) in recent months over false allegations related to the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre . .
