Police arrested a 41-year-old woman in the south of France on Friday after finding two dead babies in a freezer. Police had been informed of the gruesome discovery by another person the day before, a prosecutor said. Technical research is currently underway.
The relationship between the babies and the woman is not yet clear. The public prosecutor does not want to say whether the 41-year-old testified to the police and made a statement about the find in the village of Bédoin.
Daughter gave the hint
The newspaper “La Provence” reported that a 16-year-old daughter of the woman had hinted three years ago that her mother had given birth to a baby at home alone.
The mother lived with three children in the house where the babies were found. The mother needs a psychiatric evaluation.
