Shock moment for a mother and her son in a drugstore in Ebreichsdorf (Lower Austria): The toddler got stuck in a shopping cart on Monday morning!
The little one had gotten his foot between the metal bars of the shopping cart’s child seat and was unable to move forward or backward. The Ebreichsdorf fire brigade was alerted and a few minutes later the helpers arrived at the drugstore.
Freed with bolt cutters
“We were able to free the toddler from the emergency situation with bolt cutters and hand it over to the mother,” says operations manager Michael Ditzer. After a brief assessment by a paramedic of the fire department, the all-clear could be given: the boy had not suffered any injuries.
In the end, the brave boy received a small gift from the emergency services. With a fluffy fire bear in his hands, he was soon able to laugh again.
