Nearly 1400 households in the city of Salzburg are currently affected by a power outage. The reason is a technical malfunction at a substation in the Itzling district.
The incident happened around 5:15 p.m. Some streetlights also went out. Not only the district of Itzling is affected.
Readers from Maxglan, Taxham and Schallmoos also reported to the “Krone”. And: According to eyewitnesses, the power went out briefly in the Europark – also in parts of Wals-Siezenheim.
Salzburg AG technicians are currently working to rectify the fault. The fire brigade and police are also present at the substation. The defect caused a lot of smoke development in the building. The professional fire brigade had to ventilate the building before the technicians could get to work.
