SFG Financing Campaign – With “Green!Invest” your business grows green

Date:

The EU aims to make Europe the first climate-neutral continent by 2050. This also requires a rethinking and adjustment in the economy: the green transformation must start now, so that our future remains worth living in. With the financing campaign “Green!Invest”, the Styrian Economic Development Agency (SFG) promotes investments in new, sustainable business areas and future-proof changes in production and services. Local SMEs can count on a subsidy of up to 35 percent for their growth projects.

Climate neutrality through the Green Deal
economy, politics and society. Regional, national and global: a common goal is central everywhere. “It’s about changing and improving the world,” said Horst von Buttlar, editor-in-chief and author of “The Green Decade – How the Climate Crisis is Revolutionizing the Economy.” As part of the “Green Deal”, the EU has launched the Just Transition Fund (JTF) – one of the measures to lead Europe towards climate neutrality in almost 30 years.

Climate neutrality: the Styrian investment in the Green Deal
Climate neutrality is not just a buzzword for you? Would you like to contribute to making Styria climate-friendly? With the financing campaign “Green!Invest”, the Styrian Economic Development Agency supports your innovative and sustainable investments with up to 35 percent.

Build sustainable green pillars
The funding campaign supports investment projects that are in line with the objectives of the European Green Deal and that open up or expand sustainable “green” business areas in the long term. This creates sustainable and future-proof jobs in selected regions. The funding only applies to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises – SMEs with less than 250 employees in production and in production-related services.

In Styria there are companies in the regions

  • western Upper Styria
  • eastern Upper Styria
  • Bezirk Deutschlandsberg
  • District Graz Surroundings

eligible. Manufacturing and service companies that contribute to strengthening the manufacturing industry can apply for a subsidy.

The quartet of climate neutrality
The funding campaign focuses on providers of green technologies and the resulting positive employment effects. The main criteria for the assessment of the projects are in the areas of growth, innovative content, digitization and circular economy. If they contribute to the implementation of the EU Green Deal, for example:

  • Manufacturer of renewable energy installations
  • Recycling plant manufacturers
  • Solution provider for energy- and resource-saving construction
  • Manufacturers of healthy and environmentally friendly food systems
  • Manufacturer of e-mobility components

How much funding is there?
The funding amount for micro and small companies (up to 50 employees) is 20 to 35% and for medium-sized companies (50 to 249 employees) between 10 and 25% of the eligible project costs.

Investment projects with a total investment volume of at least 300,000 euros are financed. The investment must be in line with the EU’s “Green Deal” and open or expand long-term sustainable “green” business areas. The financing campaigns for silent participation or participation campaign for SMEs can be used to finance your project.

What is funded?
The following investments are eligible:

  • structural measures
  • machines and mechanical systems
  • business and office equipment
  • Diversification of the production of a production site with new, additional products
  • fundamental change in the entire production process of an existing facility
  • intangible investments, such as licenses, relevant software, etc.

As a manufacturer of installations, do you want to produce sustainable energy technologies? Do you produce recycling systems or are you a supplier of solutions for energy and resource saving construction? Is the production of healthy and environmentally friendly food systems or components for e-mobility your business? Then we support your investment up to 35%.
