A 26-year-old man in Wörgl in the Tyrolean lowlands gave free rein to his destructiveness on Friday evening: the suspect – reportedly a Syrian – destroyed several monitors in the train station, among other things. The police have detained the man for the time being. The damage is enormous.
Apparently, the 26-year-old lives in Vienna, probably with asylum status. However, he has been hanging out in Wörgl for a few days – where he completely panicked at the train station just before 6:30 p.m. on Friday. “The suspect has destroyed at least four monitors at an information point for the railway expansion,” the police said. Stones that were still lying around testified to the man’s destructiveness on Saturday morning.
spat on passersby
According to the detectives, the nationality of the suspect is still unclear. As the “crown” taught, it should be a Syrian. The alleged perpetrator would also have revolted in or near a bakery and spit on people.
Reported after arrest
“During the investigation, the man continued to behave defiantly and aggressively towards the police officers, so that he eventually had to be arrested,” the detectives continue. After the interrogation, the arrest was lifted – the suspect is set free.
The damage done is enormous – according to current knowledge, it should exceed 10,000 euros.
