An 82-year-old man’s ride in Rankweil ended unhappy. On Friday evening, the man’s car collided with three other vehicles. Fortunately there were no major injuries.
At 5 p.m. on Friday, an 82-year-old man was driving his car in Rankweil on the L50 towards the town centre. For unknown reasons, he crashed into oncoming traffic just before the pharmacy, slightly over the middle of the lane. There was a collision with an oncoming car. The driver then drove sideways into another car parked on the road towards Rankweil.
The 82-year-old was probably thrown into the oncoming lane by this collision. There, two oncoming vehicles could only avoid a frontal collision by performing evasive manoeuvres. It then collided with a driver who was driving out of the pharmacy parking lot and only then came to a stop. The drivers involved suffered only minor injuries.
