Ukrainian authorities say 58 people are also injured, 18 of whom are in serious condition
Ukrainian authorities on Friday reported the deaths of at least seven civilians following the last day’s bombings in Kherson. The governor, Yaroslav Yanushevich, has explained that the region has been hit by 74 Russian rocket and missile strikes in the past day, also injuring 58, 18 of them in serious condition.
“The enemy mercilessly attacked the residential areas of Kherson all day long: 36 shellings were recorded. The Russian projectiles hit critical infrastructure facilities, kindergartens, a school, a hospital, shops, a factory, private and apartment buildings,” Yanushevich explained.
Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky has described the attack as an act of Russian “terror” to “intimidate” Ukrainians. «In the morning, on Saturday, Christmas Eve, in the center of the city. They are not military installations. It is not a war by established rules. It’s terror, it’s killer to intimidate and [tomar] pleasure,” the Ukrainian president has criticized on social networks.
“The world needs to see and understand the absolute evil we are fighting against,” Zelensky lamented, again calling the Russian military “terrorist.” “This is the real life of Ukraine and of Ukrainians,” he insisted since the start of the war ten months ago.
On the other hand, two people died in Donetsk after the Russian bombing of the region, as reported by the governor, Pavlo Kirilenko, although he has pointed out that the current figure is very difficult to determine accurately. During the night there have been more bombings by Russian troops in Sumy, Kharkov and Zaporizhia, Mikolaiv regions, among others.
