Secret service clarified – Moscow cannot control minefields that have been laid

Date:

According to British intelligence, Russia lacks suitable personnel to defend the minefields laid in Ukraine during the war. In recent months, the Russian armed forces have concentrated on expanding their defense positions with anti-tank mines and anti-personnel mines in many sectors along the front line.

However, the British point out that such minefields are only an obstacle to professional troops if they are protected by appropriate surveillance and shelling.

However, the lack of trained personnel and sufficient resources from the Russians is believed to pose a major challenge for Moscow, the British Defense Ministry said in its daily briefing on Monday.

Government wants to counter Russian representations
The British Ministry of Defense has been publishing information on the course of the war every day since the start of the Russian offensive war against Ukraine at the end of February, citing information from intelligence services. With this, the British government wants to both counter the Russian image and keep allies in line. Moscow accuses London of a disinformation campaign.
