On the night of the Stefanitag in Seefeld in Tyrol, a natural disaster occurred: a 25-year-old Croatian dodged a deer, went off the road and crashed into an embankment. The driver, who according to the police had a positive breath test, and his passenger escaped unhurt.
The accident happened around 1:45 am. The Croat was driving his car on Möserer Straße when a deer suddenly ran across the street in the municipality of Seefeld.
“To avoid a collision, the man said he had torn the steering wheel. As a result, the car left the roadway and crashed into an adjacent ramp,” police said.
Driver’s license removed
Lucky for the bad luck: both the driver and his passenger were unharmed. However, the 25-year-old Croat turned out to be heavily drunk. “The driver’s license was taken from him on the spot,” the detectives conclude.
