Hate posters are said to have driven the Upper Austrian country doctor Lisa-Maria Kellermayr to her death. Three suspects are being investigated in Germany, in Berlin and Munich. But the prosecution authorities are still a long way from indictments. One of the names on the file turned out to be incorrect. Investigators are in the dark who is behind this.
Radical opponents of vaccination threatened doctor Lisa-Maria Kellermayr with death with hate messages. Out of fear and desperation, the 36-year-old committed suicide on July 29, 2022 in her practice in Seewalchen (Upper Austria). The authorities only got going after her death, politicians promised clarification.
Participation is still open
At first it actually seemed that the trail led to Germany: in Berlin two suspects were investigated, in Bavaria there was a raid on a 59-year-old. They would have written and sent the hate messages. But soon half a year has passed and no charges are in sight, as a spokesman for the Berlin public prosecutor’s office confirmed when asked by “Krone”: “We are investigating two suspects. In the case of one of the two names “However, we now know that it is false personal information, with no real person behind it. With the second one, it should become clear to what extent there is any involvement at all.”
Mild punishment for the suspect in Berlin
In any case, the suspects are not known neo-Nazis or Rijksburgs, according to the spokesperson. The accusation threatens that the punishment is only a fine or imprisonment for up to one year. New findings will not be available until the end of February at the earliest.
The data review in Munich continues
In Munich, on the other hand, the case is in the hands of hate monger Teresa Ott. It can be faster there. The suspect from the Starnberg district is also under investigation for stalking. Most recently, the data carriers secured in August have been viewed and filtered: “The evaluation is still ongoing,” says Bavaria, “after that it still needs to be coordinated with the authorities in Wels.”
