The company Aixeindar, in which Iberdrola and the Basque government participate through the Basque energy entity, has applied for prior administrative authorization for the construction of a wind farm in Laminoria, Álava.
The park would be located in the municipalities of Arraia-Maeztu, Iruraiz-Gauna and San Millán (Álava), and would have eight wind turbines, with a gross installed capacity of 40 MW.
The request, dated December 19, 2022, was published today in the Government Gazette of the Basque Country (BOPV).
After the publication of this announcement, interested natural or legal persons have 20 days to submit the requests they deem appropriate in connection with this project.
Recently, the Provincial Council of Álava has granted environmental approval for the construction of another wind farm in Azazeta, the promoter of which is also Aixeindar. The process of building another one in Labraza is also continuing and eventually the Basque government abandoned the plans in Arkamo and Iturreta due to their impact on the environment.
