Fire alarm late Wednesday evening in the Tyrolean lowlands: there was a chimney fire in a residential building in Wiesing (Schwaz district). A neighbor discovered the flames and called emergency services.
Shortly after 10 p.m. the fire broke out in a residential building in the Erlach district of Wiesing. “The chimney fire was discovered by a neighbor who then raised the alarm,” police said.
Fire quickly under control
The Wiesing volunteer fire brigade was able to quickly control and extinguish the chimney fire. No one was injured. The extent of the damage is currently unknown.
The fire brigade was present with three vehicles and 27 men. The rescue service, police and chimney sweeps were also on site.
