A magnitude 2.8 earthquake was recorded on Epiphany at 5:32 a.m. in the Ebreichsdorf area of the Baden district of Lower Austria. It was “sometimes clearly felt” within a radius of ten kilometers, the earthquake service GeoSphere Austria reported Friday morning.
No damage to buildings is known and not expected at this level, according to GeoSphere Austria (GSA), a merger of the Geological Federal Institute (GBA) with the Central Institute for Meteorology and Geodynamics (ZAMG).
