Did someone at the ski lodge miss the time? A German snowboarder got lost in a gorge on Tuesday evening during the descent in the Tyrolean Obergurgl and eventually had to make an emergency call. A search has been started.
The 36-year-old German did not descend to the valley until around 8:30 p.m. In the Hohe Mut area, the snowboarder eventually got lost in the partly snow-covered Gaisberg gorge, the police reported.
Mountain rescuers went in search
In the end, the man didn’t know what else to do and raised the alarm. The mountain rescue service of Obergurgl then started a search and was eventually able to locate the German.
In the end, the 36-year-old was rescued unharmed but hypothermic and taken to the valley.
