At two strangers in Axamer Lizum in Tyrol, all fuses are said to have blown on Wednesday morning. When two skiers tried to get into the gondola, they kicked and punched the two passengers. Shortly afterwards they fled. A search was unsuccessful. Police are now looking for witnesses.
Unsuspectingly, a 58-year-old Austrian wanted to board a gondola at the valley station “Hoadlbahn” in Axamer Lizum around 10:35 am with his companion (61). There were already three men inside. Because he had asked the men to put down a snowboard that was on one of the benches, he was immediately insulted and threatened by two of the men.
Strangers got angry
“One of the men then kicked the snowboard at the 58-year-old and the man behind him also punched him several times in the face and hit his helmet,” police said. The third man in the gondola tried to pull the other two back. The gondola was then stopped by an employee. The strangers left the gondola.
The two aggressive suspects could not be stopped as they fled the crime scene towards “Axamer Tal” and disappeared into the woods. A search in the area turned up nothing. The 58-year-old was seriously injured and went to the doctor on his own.
The police are looking for witnesses
According to the victims, the perpetrators were male, between the ages of 20 and 25, and spoke in the Tyrolean dialect. One wore a white ski suit, the second was dressed in dark. They had a snowboard and freestyle skis with them.
