Big shock for a 66-year-old tobacco shop in Linz: Shortly before 6 p.m. on Monday, a masked and armed man entered the kiosk and demanded money at gunpoint. After the crime, the robber was able to flee, all searches have so far failed.
A previously unknown perpetrator attacked a tobacco shop in Neubauzeile in Linz late Monday afternoon. At around 5:50 p.m., a perpetrator wearing a black balaclava and armed with a black pistol entered the tobacconist’s shop. The 66-year-old tobacconist was alone in the store at the time. The unknown perpetrator demanded that the employee hand over the money at gunpoint. Due to the threat, the clerk opened the cash drawer and threw some of the notes into it on the sales counter.
1000 euro reward for information
The unknown perpetrator then took the loot and fled in an unknown direction. Initiated searches have so far turned up nothing. It is not yet known how much money was stolen.
The Chamber of Commerce offered a reward of one thousand euros for useful information that led to the arrest of the unknown perpetrator.
