The accident left 16 dead, including two children, as reported by the head of the Ukrainian National Police
Ukraine’s Prime Minister Denis Monastirski, as well as his First Deputy Minister, Evgeny Enin, and at least 14 other people were killed this morning when the helicopter they were traveling in crashed in Brovari, on the outskirts of Kiev. The plane, linked to the Rijkshulpdienst, crashed near a daycare center. At least two children are among the fatalities. The news was confirmed at 9:22 a.m. (Spanish time) and rescue teams, police and firefighters are currently working to rescue any new victims. At least 12 adults and 10 children have been taken to hospital. The cause of the accident is unknown at this time.
Monastirski was appointed as head of the Interior Ministry on July 16, 2021.
