Tyrolean (22) injured – drug driver crashes into guide wall, companion fled

Date:

Spectacular accident Sunday evening in the Tyrolean Oberland: a 22-year-old resident lost control of his car, hit the inner wall of a roundabout and finally crashed into a concrete barrier. The driver was seriously injured and was – it turned out – drugged. There was no trace of the passenger, who was still in the car at the time of the accident.

The accident happened around 7:15 p.m. on B171 Tiroler Straße in the Pfaffenhofen community (Innsbruck-Land district), when the 22-year-old was driving east from Stams. According to the police, the local population suffered injuries to his head and spine from the force of the impact.

Passenger disappeared without a trace
“A drug test on the driver came back positive,” the researchers said. But that’s not all: during the police investigation into the accident, it turned out that there was still one person in the car at the time of the accident. After the accident, she left the scene of the accident. Why is unclear. At least this person should have been unharmed.

The driver’s license of the 22-year-old has been temporarily suspended. After the investigations are completed, corresponding reports are made to the responsible authorities.
