According to the police, an unknown toboggan hit her from behind, causing the young woman to fall. When she was already on the ground, a second unknown luge star drove into the accident victim.

“Both men did not stop and did not attend to the injured,” the police said in a statement. The seriously injured tobogganer was left behind and had to be rescued by the slope rescue service. He took her to the valley station of the Astbergbahn, from where the seriously injured were taken by ambulance to the hospital in St. Johann in Tirol.
On Wednesday, there were reportedly two tobogganing accidents in the Zillertal and Ötztal around noon, in which holidaymakers were injured. Both women (22 and 31) had to be taken to hospital.
