The municipality of Bürs in Vorarlberg is one place name poorer. Young people stole the sign and drove off on a moped. So that everyone really noticed, the perpetrators also published a photo of their action.
Bürs is looking for his place name sign: Between July 1 and 4, unknown persons stole the Bürs place name sign on the L 82. The huge sign was then removed by two youths on a moped. The police know this so well because a photo “appeared” of the transport ride, as the officials report – at the municipal office.
There were probably three perpetrators: one drove the moped, the second held the sign, the third photographed the case and sent the photo anonymously to the municipality. The license plate of the moped was carefully taped over. Police are now hoping for information from the public. The trio should not have behaved too inconspicuously.
