Within an hour there were two tobogganing accidents in the Zillertal and in the Ötztal in Tyrol on Wednesday, in which two holidaymakers were injured. Both women (22 and 31) had to be taken to hospital.
The first accident happened around 12:35 p.m. in the Spieljoch ski area. A 31-year-old German was riding downhill on the designated toboggan run when she went over the edge of the track on a flat section and fell about ten meters into a forest. The injured woman managed to call the emergency services herself. The emergency helicopter finally rescued her with the rope and flew the injured to Schwaz district hospital.
Chinese woman broke her ankle
45 minutes later there was another toboggan accident on the other side of Tyrol, in Sölden. A Chinese woman (22) lost control of her sled on the descent from the Gaislachkogel middle station and then collided with a wooden barrier. The young woman broke her left ankle. After the first aid, the rescue took her to the hospital in Zams.
