The rescuers on the Tyrolean ski slopes have a lot of work these days: there were a number of accidents over the weekend – including in Achenkirch in the lowlands, where a 12-year-old was seriously injured in a collision with an unknown person.
The serious winter sports accident happened around 11 a.m. in the Christlum ski area. The 12-year-old German was riding down the so-called Brandtal run when she collided with another skier at an altitude of about 1,200 meters.
No data exchanged in shock
“The girl fell due to the side impact. Both winter sports enthusiasts stayed at the scene of the accident, but forgot to exchange information in the fright,” said the police.
The stranger finally continued his journey. The girl was taken to the valley by the mountain rescue service, where a doctor diagnosed a serious injury.
The second skier involved or any witnesses should report to the Schwaz police inspection (telephone number 059 133/7250).
