An animal drama took place on a protection path in Enns (Upper Austria) on Wednesday evening. A man was walking his dog when suddenly a speeder roared and ran over the four-legged friend. The driver didn’t stop either, but fled.
The patrol “Enns 5” was called to the country road to Enns at 22:45 on Wednesday. A 51-year-old local resident raised the alarm that an unknown driver had just hit his dog and then committed a collision. At the time of the accident, the man had crossed the road with his four-legged friend on a protective path.
Owner also injured
When the facts were recorded, it turned out that the informant himself had been injured in the left hand during the incident. The man suffered a minor cut because he was holding the leash of his 34-pound dog when it was hit by the car.
According to the information from the indicator, it was a black car that was driving at high speed from Asten towards Enns. The surveys are ongoing.
