An eleven-year-old was hit by a car in Perg on Wednesday and seriously injured. According to police, the boy crossed the street directly in front of the car near a bus stop. The 52-year-old driver was unable to evade and hit the student who ended up on the road in the collision.
No zebra crossing
The child was taken by ambulance to Kepler University Hospital in Linz with serious injuries. The accident happened shortly after 07:00 on Donaubundesstraße (B3). According to the police, there is no protective path at the bus stop and no artificial street lighting. The driver of the car may have overlooked the student in the dark.
