Four Germans against six Belgians – these were the protagonists of a wild brawl on Tuesday evening in the winter sports resort of Fiss in Landeck, Tyrol. The opponents allegedly stole the skis from the ski racks of the Germans, who were already in the taxi on the way to their accommodation. The situation escalated!
Just after 8:30 p.m., the four German holidaymakers got into a taxi at the valley station of the Fisser Bergbahnen to be driven to their accommodation. When the taxi finally wanted to drive away, the six Belgians would have approached the car and removed two pairs of skis from the ski basket.
All four Germans were wounded, three of them seriously
At first the opponents shouted wildly at each other – then the quarrel got completely out of hand: it came to a violent scuffle. Three Germans suffered serious injuries. The fourth in the league was injured indefinitely. The quartet was taken to Zams Hospital after first aid.
Wild attack also in the Zillertal
Wild scenes also took place in the Zillertal on Tuesday: a 52-year-old German was attacked on the slopes by four strangers with skis and punches. The reason for the escalation may have been a risky driving maneuver.
The crooks went into hiding after the attack. The detectives are now hoping for possible witnesses who can help in the investigation of the perpetrators.
