The Minister of Economy and Finance, Pedro Azpiazubelieves that 2023 will be a key year in the development of European Next Generation funds and therefore advocates “reducing the bureaucratic burden of access to funds, of course with the necessary controls, as well as the guarantees that companies need to qualify come for European funds”.
Azpiazu appeared this morning in the Economy, Finance and Budget Committee of the Basque Parliament to report on the situation of European funds. To date, EUR 1,571 million has been allocated to the Basque Autonomous Community (CAV), of which EUR 1,025 million will be managed by the Basque government and the remainder (546 million) directly by the State.
